WHAT WE DO

The purpose of the our non-profit society is to encourage high school, middle school, and youth rowing in the Greater Victoria area.

To that end, the GVYRS works to acquire boats, oars and other equipment necessary for the instruction in and practice of rowing and for competition in high school and youth rowing.

Legacy
Since the inaugural LVISSAA School season in 1987, several athletes who began rowing with a high school team in the Greater Victoria area, have gone on to represent Canada in international competition.
