VOLUNTEERS

We rely heavily on volunteers to run our regatta weekends.

We require over 400 volunteers to fill various positions throughout the two regatta weekends. Some skilled positions require a Pleasure Craft Operator's Card (PCOC), while others are straightforward, such as dock marshalling or timing tent operations. All positions are vital to our athletes' safety and our competitions' fairness. Regattas will not operate unless all positions are filled.

Several years ago, we implemented a volunteer bond to ensure regattas operate. We ask each athlete's family to fulfill one three-hour shift or surrender a $100 bond. We use the $100 to cover the cost of paid regatta positions.
